Hi Greg,
I believe that the NetPBM libraries can be dropped just about anywhere 
you want... unfortunately, I am without my RedHat developement box at 
the moment so I can't test just dropping the couple of files that are 
used by the script into place. Once the machine is running again, I 
could statically compile some of these binaries and put them in an 
optional download package for the /bin sub-directory. I was unaware that 
this was desired until you raised the point just now. Of course this 
(statically-compiled)raises the complexity of support and development as 
any package that depends on libraries where there are bug reports or 
exploits have to be updated when the libraries change. And of course you 
have to trust me with the binary ;)
